So I did a neat thing in #GodotEngine I made it so my networking is mod-able now, the idea is, they generate a node, are added to a dictionary and used using callbacks, this way, i can add new functions (or make mods), and it be super simple to integrate!

My tile renderer now cooperates with tilemaps being rotated & with painting/erasing tiles (while still playing nice with lights and shadows).

I'm ensuring no single approach for weapon/attack types works against all encounters, or works equally well, by incorporating immunity as well as extra or less vulnerability to some types. That way it incentivizes the player to try out different possibilities for defeating foes.

Change the perspective of the mini-game turn based battles a bit

Players turn is standard, pick a skill and use it
Enemies turn the enemy actively strikes at you and you can dodge

I finished the functionality of the laser puzzle in my #RPGMaker project! You can turn lasers off or slow down the faster ones to progress through. And when you bump into moving lasers, the character jumps back to the previous checkpoint.

Polish is 80% of the work in #GameDev. Takes so much time to smooth out little things that surficially, aren't -that- important, but man does it do wonders. Modded my water shader in Zenoken for blended edges rather than a hard break. 3 hours lol.

I'm not adding any big features anymore during final phase before release, just things that only I notice.

So when an upgrade block explodes, it will now always shower you with paint.

As you can see, the A.I. proceeded to pick up the shield that i dropped once it thought it was safe to do so

more water mechanics: If u enter water carrying an item or pick up an item underwater u wont be able to swim anymore, only walk underwater. This also happens if u go in water before learning the swim ability. Also made items move slower underwater #indiedev #gamedev #indiegame #pixelart #pixelgame

I decided to move about half the level gems into these crates for 2 reasons:

1. To give the player more things to do inside the level sandbox.

at some point I realized that IK rig has it's limits
so I made my own control rig from scratch
it's a bit more complicated but I gained finer control to how it behaves

What about a way to restart the game, so you can easily go to the test menu?

In case you didn't know, you have to press and hold "start + button 1" in the logos screen to access the test menu.

We combined a custom curve tool w/ a procedural mesh tool to create a growing vine. Wanted to bloom some flowers but didn't have any in the project so we used a Muskrat model to test 📷 Turns out it spawned thousands of muskrats...feature, not a bug!😅

- Added support for gamepad
- Made the UI information look a little bit better with icons
- Made the health system work
- Made the timer work
- Created the kill plane to lose a life in case of out of bounds.

Just implemented the 3d chunk system for my game (previously only had a single chunk lol).
Atm you can only see this by the fact that the world is now 32x16x16 instead of 16x16x16 😅
But it allows me to now add infinite worlds, which is the next step ^^
